Our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Nation to go vocal for local. This announcement came after the Coronavirus pandemic and its outbreak in the country.
Vocal for local should become mantra for every Indian – PM Modi:
He has called on all Indians to work for making India self-reliant. Everyone of us know this campaign, right?
And “Aatmnirbhar Bharat”, “self-sufficient India” and “Self-reliant India” is truly inspiring, motivating, and empowering.
This corona pandemic has taught us well the importance of local manufacturing, local market, local supply chain. Isn’t it?
Vocal for local is not only to buy local products but we need to proudly encourage and promote those products and services as well.
This is an initiative for the promotion of local brands, manufacturing, and supply chain so that the country does not have to be fully depend on import .
Vocal for local is not just a program, or another slogan but I hope it should become a movement.
We have to support our own local people who are the backbone of our economy. Because, the economy has presently slowed down as a consequence of the pandemic.
The two aspects here are:
- Our own products produced in India
- The products of the global brands produced locally in India
Honorable Prime Minister Modi, in his address, also gave us the example of Khadi.
He said, “I am proud to recollect that I had asked citizens to buy khadi and to support handloom workers. In a short time, demand and sales touched record levels. Khadi became a big brand because of you and we got good and effective results.”
It shows that, going vocal for local really makes an impact.
And local can become global too.
However, we need to take into account that local does not mean products Made in India by Indian companies only, but also those manufactured in India by multinational companies.
This is where the second aspect of global brands producing locally in India comes into picture.
Anything manufactured in India, be it by any domestic company or by multinational companies, it benefits the people of India.
Vocal for local is not an order but an appeal to all Indians. After all, it is the end user who takes the biggest call.
Though this pandemic is throwing challenges for everyone to survive, learn how to turn challenges into opportunities, and buy more and more local products.
So, let’s do our part in buying and promoting local products and make India self-reliant.
Vocal for local : How can we work towards this campaign?
I am taking this as my responsibility as an Indian and promoting few of the products here. Apart from the very famous list of Indian products.

Alright ! I have made this list, to promote all these brands, as I personally know all of them.
I request all my readers, just know them, visit their links, understand how the people like you and me are doing extra-ordinary things, order from them, encourage them ,help them and thereby helping our own nation.
You can continue the same with your own friends or any local brand which you find really worth to share with others and deserve huge audience.
Modiji also mentioned that leading brands of the world were once local brands. When local people started buying and using them; they became global bands.
People helped them in branding and started promoting them. They were the catalysts to make them global brands from local brands.
I urge you, take the responsibility of promoting at least two local brands of your knowledge. If everyone makes an effort in vocal for local, it will definitely make a huge impact in the future. Let’s grow the chain.
Conclusion
Indian brands will surely achieve the status of global brands. And that will be just another benefit of going vocal for local. It’s in hand of Indian people to decide and use the power of buying from local brands and going vocal for local.
We have the ability to be self-reliant. Go local. Use Indian products only.
